Can’t fall asleep night after night? Here is how to fall asleep instantly in less than 120 seconds. This military-tested trick guarantees instant slumber under any condition.

Nothing is worse than lying in bed at night wishing for sleep only to find yourself staring at the ceiling until the early hours of the morning.

Sleep is essential for your health and well-being.

Many things can get in the way of getting enough sleep. Coffee, stress, and a busy work schedule are among some of the top reasons people miss out on rest.

If this is you, you might want to try the military method to fall asleep in 2 minutes or less.

The Military Sleeping Method

The Military Sleeping Method

A U.S. Navy Pre-Flight school created this instant sleep method for the sake of their pilots.

It can be found in the book Relax and Win: Championship performance by Bud Winter.

This method allowed 96% of the pilots to fall asleep within 120 seconds after 6 weeks.

Pilots were taught to sleep upright in a chair with coffee and the sound of constant gunfire in the background.

The idea was to allow pilots to be able to fall asleep despite distractions by mimicking the sounds of war. If they could sleep through that they could sleep anywhere.

How To Do It

To do this military method, you need to master the ability to let go and relax, starting from your head and ending with your toes.

First, you must focus on relaxing your face. This includes all your facial muscles. Close your eyes and breathe deeply and slowly. Start by relaxing your forehead and work your way down to your jaw.

Next, begin to work on relaxing your upper body. Start from your neck and your shoulders down to your arms and your hands. Every time you take a breath out, feel yourself getting heavier and more relaxed.

Your lower body is next. Slowly working down your legs to your feet. Make sure you don’t forget your toes. Do not continue until you feel every inch of your body lean in and let go.

Lastly, it’s time to relax your mind. Try to clear out any unnecessary thoughts and instead focus on a relaxing scene. This could be anything that makes you feel calm, such as the ocean, the forest, or at home in your bed.

If you struggle with your mind wandering to tomorrow’s to-dos or issues from the day, create a mantra. Repeat to yourself “Don’t think.” You can do this quietly to yourself or in your head.

This process will be challenging at first, but don’t give up. Like anything else, it takes a lot of practice. The more you practice, the quicker you will find yourself dozing off into dreamland.

Bottom Line

This simple yet effective military method can get you to sleep in 2 minutes or less. Created by a U.S. Navy Pre-Flight school, all it takes is the ability to relax your muscles from your head to your toes and clear your mind.

With a little practice, anyone can find themselves sleeping in a matter of 120 seconds or less.
